Grammatoula Studios is a family-run business committed to offering personal and attentive service. The joint controllers of your personal data are Nikolaos Manolitsis, Dionysia Manolitsi, and Dimitrios Manolitsis, all residents of Episkopos Nikiana, Lefkada, where our accommodations are located. When do you need to provide us with your personal information?

GRAMMATOULA STUDIOS can detect the IP address through which the computer or any other electronic device accesses the Internet and then our website. This is due to the way the internet works and aims to protect networks from malicious actions. For the same reason, this function collects information about the type of browser and the operating system (windows, Android, iOS, etc.) of the user. This information cannot directly identify you and is stored for the minimum period necessary for the security of the networks. This information does not require your prior consent before receiving it, as it is necessary for the safe and proper operation of each website.
This data is kept in log files on the server of our website for 12 months.

When you apply to book accommodation through our website
You can submit your requests for reservations from our website.
For the purpose of your reservation, you must provide us with your name, email address, number of people and the dates of your reservation, as well as any comments you would like to add about your reservation.
Your above information is necessary for the performance of the service contract to you that you choose. This information will also be used for the pricing of the service you have chosen, for our communication about our cooperation and for your identification when you arrive.
When you book accommodation through AirBNB Booking or by phone
– If you make your reservation through the Booking platform, Booking sends us the form of your reservation, which includes your name, phone number, address and credit or debit card details.
– If you make your reservation through the AirBNB platform, AirBNB sends us a completed form of your reservation, the confirmation of your payment through its platform (without your bank account or card details), your name, telephone number, e-mail and the address you have entered in your account with it.
Please note that these platforms have their own privacy policies governing how they collect and process your personal data, independently of us, and you should review them separately.
-If you make your reservation by phone, give us your name, your e-mail, the number of people and the reservation dates you are interested in.
When you stay in our apartments
For the service of your hospitality, your identification upon your arrival and the billing of our services, we also note the passport or ID number of the person who made the reservation, their address, and their VAT number. In case you have not made a reservation beforehand, upon your arrival we note the name, email, home address, VAT number and phone number of one of the people who will stay in our accommodations. Also, if you pay by bank transfer directly to us rather than through a platform, our partner bank informs us of the payment details.
Finally, if you are visiting our accommodations for business reasons and wish us to issue an invoice instead of a simple receipt for the provision of our services, we will also need the VAT number of your business, the address of your business headquarters and your profession, in order to fulfill our legal obligation to issue the invoice.
What are your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
RIGHT OF ACCESS AND RECTIFICATION
You have the right to know whether the personal data concerning you have been or will be processed and in any case request from GRAMMATOULA STUDIOS the correction of your personal data if it is inaccurate, or the completion of it in case of incompleteness. When updating your personal data, you may be asked to verify your identity before we can satisfy your request.
RIGHT TO PORTABILITY
You can receive your personal data in electronic form. This right applies to:
- A) if you provided them yourself
- B) either by giving your consent
- C) or to enter into a contract with us.
You will receive them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (i.e. in a commonly used and easily readable electronic file type by common software), as well as transmit them or request their transmission by us to another controller, provided that this does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of other people.
RIGHT TO ERASURE
Under the conditions of the law, you can request the deletion of your personal data, as well as in specific cases the restriction of the processing they undergo. Personal data that we are obliged to retain due to legal obligations cannot be deleted.

You have the right to object to the processing of data concerning you at any time.
This right applies to you if the reason for processing them on our behalf is our legitimate interest and you have an objection due to any particular situation of yours (for personal, professional or social reasons).
RIGHT OF RESTRICTION

This will apply if you contest the accuracy of your data and until we verify it, when you consider that the processing being carried out is unlawful, when we no longer need it, or when you have exercised your right to object.
RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT
When we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you have given us, you have the right to revoke it freely, at any time, without retroactive effect, and without suffering any consequence to other services we provide to you for other reasons (e.g. under a contract for the provision of consulting services between us).
RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority in case you consider that your data is being processed unlawfully. The Data Protection Authority recommends that you contact us prior to submit any complaints or requests. You can do that for free, by email at info@grammatoula.gr, or at dmanolitsis@yahoo.gr ). We will make every effort to satisfy your request. How to exercise the above rights:
To exercise your rights, as well as for any information regarding the processing of your personal data, you can submit a request to info@grammatoula.gr or dmanolitsis@yahoo.gr ).
We may need to ask you for your identification before responding to make sure that someone else is not exercising your right.
As a general rule, your request will be satisfied within one month of receipt, or if it is particularly complex, you will be informed at least within one month of the delay that the complexity of the request may entail.
The information and all related actions to respond to your requests are provided free of charge, unless they are excessive or repetitive.
Retention period of your personal data and recipients
Your above information will be kept for the absolutely necessary period of time to serve the above purposes and will not be transmitted to third parties, except for our accountant, for the tax registration of the tax receipts we issue and the payment of the residence tax imposed by the Greek Legislation and – in case of our legal claims – to cooperating legal representatives for the purpose of defending our legal interests. Why is it legal to use your data?
We process your personal data only when there is a valid legal basis for doing so, as described below:
Accommodating services contract
We process the information you give us directly about your reservation or that is transmitted to us by one of the Booking & AirBNB booking platforms, on the basis of your request to take measures before entering into a corresponding contract with you and then for the purposes of performing this contract.
Our legitimate interest.
The law allows the processing of personal data in certain cases to achieve the legitimate interests of an organization’s claims (unless these interests are overridden by the interest or fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual). We mind out not to infringe on your fundamental rights and freedoms to serve our own legitimate interests. That is why we only process your personal data on this basis if this processing is not particularly intrusive or invasive for you.
- Our legitimate interest in establishing, exercising or asserting our legal claims allows us to process your data for these purposes.
Our legal obligation
In some cases we may need to collect your personal data because we are required to do so by a provision of the Law. For example, you will have to give us your VAT number as we will have to issue a tax document for the services we provide you.
In the above cases, failure to provide the necessary information will prevent us from providing you with the services you have requested in order not to violate the law.
Who may be the recipients of your personal data?
- Only the executives of GRAMMATOULA STUDIOS have access to the data. We may give access to your data on a case-by-case basis to our partners, who provide their services to us (such as web hosting providers, website management providers, booking platform, IT support providers, tax and legal advisors, etc.) if their services are necessary for our operation and your service. to us with a contract for the protection of your personal data and undertake not to disclose it to anyone else.
In any case, your personal data will not be transmitted, sold or disclosed to anyone for marketing purposes, without your prior express consent.
Transfers to third countries

In any case, GRAMMATOULA STUDIOS has prepared a plan to deal with any incident of breach, to eliminate or limit its consequences, according to which if a high risk is created, risk to your rights or freedoms, you will be informed immediately.

Our website may contain links to other websites. This privacy policy does not apply to the user’s access to other websites. Please consult the privacy policy of the website you are entering each time. In the event that hyperlinks on our website lead to websites that present protected intellectual works to the public, we are not responsible if that the presentation is made without the permission of the beneficiaries. In any case, GRAMMATOULA STUDIOS never places hyperlinks for profit and checks these hyperlinks as much as possible, in terms of the websites they lead, to avoid the presentation of protected works without the permission of the holder of their copyright or related rights.
